The Prairie Sisters Vintage Market has been a staple in our Missoula community for almost a decade, inviting us to browse the hard-to-resist treasures of all things home and beauty. On Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula, shop local businesses for farmhouse and handmade goodies and clothing, too! There will be something for everyone with styles of rustic, French country, vintage, antique, retro, country, flea market style, rustic junk, and cottage style. Volunteer Trip: Heart Lake
Do you enjoy hiking and doing something good for the wildlands of our great state? Join experienced leaders for a weekend trip into the proposed Great Burn Wilderness. Heart Lake is one of the most popular destinations in the Great Burn and volunteers will help maintain campsites surrounding Heart Lake. September Birthstone Trip!
The sapphire, commonly known for its deep blue appearance, has been mined in the western United States for more than a century and a half. It’s also celebrated as this month’s birthstone! If you haven’t mined for your own gem (or even if you have), take the drive to Montana Gems, located at 204 W. Broadway in Philipsburg to sift for a treasure to call your own. Diva Day 5K
Celebrate the resilient, influential, fierce, confident, determined, and strong women in Missoula and throughout all of Western Montana by attending the Diva Day 5K to run or walk on Saturday, September 21 at 9 a.m. at Community Medical Center. Run Wild Missoula will donate 20 percent of race proceeds to YWCA Missoula. Domestic violence impacts the lives of countless women across all backgrounds and is the leading cause of homelessness among families with children. YWCA Missoula is committed to ending domestic and sexual violence because everyone deserves to be safe! These funds raised will go to YWCA Missoula’s Pathway Program which provides shelter and support to survivors of interpersonal violence. This event is sponsored by Community Medical Center, Runners Edge, Skin Chic, Mountain 102.5, Lambert Family Chiropractic, the Women’s Club, and Moxie Nosh. All ages and abilities are welcome to celebrate.
Margarita Crawl Missoula
Nothing says crawling out of summer quite like a margarita crawl! On Saturday, September 28 between 2 and 8 p.m., join Bar Crawl Unlimited in creating memories that will last a lifetime. You can purchase a ticket for $30 on the day of and you’ll be treated to discounted drinks at all venues, entry to the after party, and free take-home swag.
