Want to get a little dirt on your boots? Get ready to have a good country time all while raising money to benefit local individuals and families who are impacted by breast cancer on Friday, August 10 at the Missoula County Fairgrounds. This yearly event is best known for its immediate camaraderie and belly-aching laughter so pull on some boots and head on over to raise money for our friends, neighbors, coworkers, or community members who are faced with a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Live auction begins at 5:30 p.m., no previous knowledge of rodeo is required.
Bugs & Beer, Have No Fear
Imagine Nation Brewing is hosting a fly tying workshop on Monday, August 6 at 6 p.m. Come tie flies with the friendly folks from IFlyFishMontana and The Missoulian Angler. Tying gear will be provided to the first 12 people to join but feel free to bring your own gear if you’re not an early worm. Food will be provided and beer will be available. Admission is free.
Youth Painting Summer Camp
Let your youngster be inspired by modern American masters such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Winslow Homer, and Philip Guston as they learn diverse techniques for using watercolors and acrylics. Color-mixing, paint-blending and shading will also be learned as campers immerse themselves in the joy of waiting indoors and out! Summer camp taught by Jessie Novak, ages 7-11 are welcome to attend. Summer camp begins on Wednesday, August 1 at the Missoula Art Museum.
