A portrait of Interior Architecture & Design with Shannon Callaghan
She’s a wife and a mother with a degree in interior architecture and design. Shannon Callaghan is a true Montana girl, born in Havre and allowing the Missoula community and beyond a chance to reap the rewards of her trained eye.
She combines inspiration from the Treasure State with what she discovers while traveling.
“I love the stone, wood, metals, and the hard surface craftsmanship you find around Montana,” said Shannon. “But when I travel, I’m drawn to the architecture and structure of design rather than soft treatments.”
Her office space is simple, elegant, and fully indulgent of timeless naturals—leather, distressed wood, neutrals, crisp white. It breathes inspiration for Shannon and her office-mates, Michelle Long and Kellie McNelis.
“We each have our own roles and stay pretty focused on our individual processes, however every project is a team effort and we each have input and ideas within the process of the design,” said Shannon
Shannon understands budgetary restrictions and the functionality of interior living. It needs to make sense and offer aesthetic appeal to whomever the space is for. Often, she is hired by out of state clients and begins working on the design elements before she has met them, and coordinates most of the project as needed, even recommending builders.
Sure as the sky’s the limit, no vision is too grand for Shannon.
